Dr. Thornton

About Dr. Thornton:

Dr. Thornton is a board-certified micrographic dermatologic surgeon and a board-certified dermatologist. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University School of Pharmacy and Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Thornton completed her internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. In 2005 while at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, she completed a two-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology. During her fellowship, she trained under several excellent Mohs surgeons, including Dr. Philip Bailin, who learned Mohs surgery direction from Dr. Mohs himself.

After fellowship, Dr. Thornton joined a large Mohs surgery practice in North Carolina. In 2009, she and her family returned to Columbus, Ohio to open Columbus Skin Surgery Center in Dublin, Ohio. She loves being back in Columbus and serving the community here. She is a highly dedicated surgeon who takes great pride in her meticulous work in providing the best dermatologic surgery care.

Outside of her work, her other passions are family, running and tennis.
